HOMEMADE KETO BAGELS

I don't always do keto but when I do I made these keto bagels!!

Homemade bagels...what??? And guess what- they are not only super delicious but they are SOOOOO EASY to make!!!!! This recipe can make either 4 nice sized ones or 8 smaller ones ( 4 net carbs in case you are curious). 

Here is the recipe!!! Enjoy! 

KETO BAGELS

Ingredients: 

1 1/2 cups almond flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsl sea salt

2 eggs beaten

1/4 tsp xanthan gum

2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions: 

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs and xanthan gum. Melt cheese in microwave safe bowl for 2 minutes until melted. Combine all ingredients into one bowl and mix together. Coat hands with coconut oil then shape into bagels. To make it easier I recommend separating the dough into equal parts then rolling in between hands to form a long rope then make a circle and gently pinch the ends together to form a bagel. Sprinkle the dough with "Everything Bagel" seasoning or sesame seeds then place on a baking sheet sprayed with coconut oil. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes- check after 15 to make sure you don't over bake them. Cool then enjoy alone or with some of your favorite toppings.

* Tip: Save in a zip lock bag to keep them fresh. They aren't super thick so you can slice them and toast as well!
