HOW TO DRINK YOUR KETONES FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE

About 15 months ago a good friend of mine mentioned exogenous or pure therapeutic ketones and I was soooo curious. I was also skeptical because that's how I am especially when I hear about something I can eat or drink. Then she told me about all the benefits and I was like " wait what??" because at the time i was on the struggle bus big. knew a bit about the keto diet and I had done it in cycles. I giggle looking back now because I was the girl who said things like      " oh my gosh that's such a fad diet" "that won't last" and " I don't want to eat bacon and butter all day long". Haha! Knowing what i know now, that keto has been around for over 100 years and that it actually came to be in order to help children with epilepsy AND that it's so not all about bacon and butter I am much more informed!!! Today I love not only learning all about keto, ketones, ketosis and the benefits of it all but sharing it with everyone i know. Looking back actually i remember a long time friend of mine talking about exogenous ketones on social media and on her podcast. Dr. Dominic D'agostino was one of her guests and I have so much respect for him. The more he talked about it and all he shares in his TED TALK about Starving Cancer I knew I had to give it go.

I am SO happy I added ketones into my life because like I said I did keto more in cycles and I am horrible at diets- i actually loathe diets . I am more of a sustainable, lifestyle kind of gal and that is what ketones are! After trying them for several weeks I LOVED how my body and brain felt in ketosis. How Do I Mix and Drink My Keto/os? Is 1/2 serving of Keto/os Effective?

● Start with a half packet for the first 1-2 days, better to start with half a serving since this is new to your body.Then start taking one whole packet a day.

●  You can also try 1/2 packet in the morning and 1/2 packet in the afternoon.

●  Everyone is different. If you are NOT looking for fat loss or weight loss half a serving can be just as effective for some people

●  Mix 1/2 packet with 10-20 oz (more or less as desired) of water (and ice) and shake. More or less water will affect the taste. So if you like it sweeter use less water. I will stress that ice makes your Keto taste amazing! Don’t skip the ice.

●  Drink SLOWLY over 30-60 minutes. Do not gulp this down quickly! Your body needs time to absorb Keto properly. Drinking your Keto slowly allows your body to absorb it properly.

●  Stay hydrated! So many people are dehydrated and don’t even realize it! One of the most important things you can do is drink lots of water!

●  Increase to a full packet or serving as tolerated. You can also drink a second serving of Keto/os in the afternoon or evening.

2)​ ​DRINK MORE WATER: ​Try to drink 1/2 to 1 ounce of water per lb of body weight. Maybe even spruce it up with fresh lemon, cucumber or mint!

 3) ELIMINATE REFINED SUGARS: ​Stay away sugary foods and drinks ​as best as you can (Just say no to soft drinks, water is your friend ;).

4) DO YOUR BEST TO ELIMINATE FLOUR, WHEAT & GRAINS: ​And try to stay away from gluten as much as possible.

5) INCREASE YOUR HEALTHY FATS: ​Drink Bulletproof coffee or coffee with​ ​Keto-Kreme​ with your tea or coffee in the morning. Eat foods avocados, coconut butter, coconut oil, eggs, wild caught salmon, high-quality cheeses.
