Sugar- ahhhh I always say that it is the devil! But really- so many studies are linking it to illnesses, obesity and disease it's crazy! Not only will it make you feel crappy, but sugar will also kick you out of ketosis if you're doing keto, so watch out for additions in foods like salad dressing, sauces, and even seasonings. To be safe, always ask for sauces or dressings on the side.
5. Choose booze without the carbs
If you're drinking cocktails, don't spend your carbs on 'em! OMG save that for the bread...kidding...sort of! :)
Try a sugar free margarita, a vodka La Croix, a low carb Moscow Mule, a keto-jito or a nice glass of pinot noir.
Be sure to specify to the bartender exactly how you would like your drink prepared- there can be alot of sugary syrups added to drinks. Of course still ask for the paper umbrella because let's be real - they're silly and fun - as life should be! ;)
